We have a zero tolerance policy for parking on the grass at the Merrimack Middle School. Do NOT park on the grass anywhere by the Middle School. If we lose the Middle School fields for playing our soccer games because someone does not care about this, 34 teams will not have a place to play.

  • Park ONLY on the paved areas near and around the Merrimack Middle School.
  • Do NOT park on any grass or grassy areas. Walk an extra couple of minutes if necessary.
  • If you violate the parking requirements, the Merrimack Police will be called and your vehicle WILL be towed away.

Standing water rule on all town and school fields: Any game or practice must be cancelled when there is standing water on the field.  This includes in the middle of a game or practice. If it is raining, when enough rain has fallen to cause puddling to form anywhere on the field, the game or practice must be cancelled.  If we violate this rule, we could lose the right to use the fields.

MYA Recreational Soccer Program

MYA Recreational Soccer is designed for to be a positive, fun experience for all ages and skill levels.  Any Merrimack youth age 4½ to 18 can join, and there are no tryouts.  Everyone who registers on time makes the team, and everyone on the team plays, regardless of ability or experience.

We start with the U6 & U8 Coed program which is for the beginner to learn basic skills and the structure of a soccer game in a low-key, non-competitive atmosphere.

The U10 Coed and U11 Girls divisions give the kids a little more structured game experience to help players understand about positions.  Practice sessions begin to emphasize a higher level of skills training. Even though goals are scored, the focus is on fun and player development, not winning.

The U13 Coed & U14 Girls divisions are the first time the kids are introduced to the full field, 11V11 format. The players are taught a more structured style of soccer, more team-oriented tactics, with a higher level of skills.  At this level, players will begin to learn what position best fits their skills and playing style.

The U15 & U19 Coed divisions are still focused on fun, but scores are kept and in most cases positions are set by skill level.  This is a competitive level, but as in all age levels, all players play and fun is still the primary goal.
