We have a zero tolerance policy for parking on the grass at the Merrimack Middle School. Do NOT park on the grass anywhere by the Middle School. If we lose the Middle School fields for playing our soccer games because someone does not care about this, 34 teams will not have a place to play.

  • Park ONLY on the paved areas near and around the Merrimack Middle School.
  • Do NOT park on any grass or grassy areas. Walk an extra couple of minutes if necessary.
  • If you violate the parking requirements, the Merrimack Police will be called and your vehicle WILL be towed away.

Standing water rule on all town and school fields: Any game or practice must be cancelled when there is standing water on the field.  This includes in the middle of a game or practice. If it is raining, when enough rain has fallen to cause puddling to form anywhere on the field, the game or practice must be cancelled.  If we violate this rule, we could lose the right to use the fields.

Welcome

The MYA soccer program provides an opportunity for Merrimack youth, ages 4 1/2 to 18, to play recreational and competitive soccer in an environment designed to promote learning, teamwork, fun and the joy of soccer.

Recreational Program

The recreational program is a Fall and Spring season activiity. The fall program runs from the beginning of practice in August through early November. The Spring program starts in April and runs through Junes. Begun in the 1970s with only a handful of teams , the "rec" program has in excess of 1500 players. In the fall the program has coed divisions in U6, U8, U10, U13, U15 and U19 age groups and girls only divisions in the U11 and U14 age groups. In the Spring, the program offers coed divisions only in U6, U8, U11, U14 and U19 age groups.

Competitive (Travel) Program

The competitive or travel program is a Fall and Spring season activity. Through field tryouts, teams are formed to compete against teams from other soccer clubs in southern New Hampshire. The Fall season runs from August until November and the Spring Season starts in April and completes in June. Over 100 players participate in the travel prgram each year.

The program sponsors teams in both boys' and girls' divisions at ages ranging from U8 to U14 in the fall and U8 to U19 in the Spring. Under travel soccer rules, players are assigned to teams based upon their age as of July 31. Teams have the option of participating in regional tournaments that may be held during the season.
